Vintage collectible Huntley & Palmer’s square assorted biscuit tin. This litho container is decorated on four sides and lid with scenes of fanciful victorian life all on a cream and pink background. “Huntley & Palmer’s Ltd. Reading. Made in England” is embossed on the bottom. One side has a label with the ingredients in the “Porcelain assorted biscuits”. Measurements are “9” square x 5″ H and is a perfect size storage container. In good vintage condition with very little rust and typical scratches. Minor dent on the bottom(See Pics)

Company Info.
Established in 1841, Thomas Huntley partnered with George Palmer to form Huntley & Palmers. In 1846, the company opened a large factory on Kings Road in Reading. By 1900, Huntley & Palmers was the world’s largest biscuit manufacturer, employing more than 5,000 people. The tins were typically decorated with floral patterns, pastoral scenes, or landscapes.
