Hard ot Find Antique 1907-1923 Child’s Cash Register Style Uncle Sam Mechanical Nickel, Dime and Quarter Savings Bank. This is the first model manufactured by The Durable Toy and Novelty Co. made from heavy gage steel that has a shiny black enamel finish. This model has the vertical coin slot, a wonderful brass eagle graphiic and brass labels. The bank measures 6″ H x 5″ D x 4″ W and weighs 2 1/4 LBS. In good condition with minimal rust and scratch no dents. FYI the dimes don’t calculate properly, they register as 5 cents. This is a hard to find model with great graphics. Perfect for a toy collector or on a children’s room shelf.

The first coin locks the bank. Bank has no key. Locks and unlocks automatically. Deposit a nickel,dime or quarter in the slot, press lever down. Let lever go up slowly giving the coin time to drop in bank, the deposit will then registered. Amount will shown on the indicator. This bank will holds $10.00. At this point the door in the back of the bank is unlocked. Press up the door and shake out the coins. Tested and is working. However, dimes show as 5 cents. You still need the machine to show $10.00 in order to open.
