Description

Antique Wooden Chinese Brush Pot Box with all four sides embellished. Two sides with beautiful relief panels, one panel with a tree branch and blossoms the other depicing a crane among flowers. The other two sides have traditional Chinese writings. The box has a nice shape to it with the corners indented. The container is made of some sort of fruit wood as it is sweet smelling. This traditional 19th century Chinese brush pot was used to hold calligraphy and art brushes and was made some time during the Qing Dynasty. Measures 5″ H x 3 3/8″ square. In very good antique condition with minor scratches.
