A rare find! This is a full 11 piece canister set from Germany manufactured between 1887-1914. Produced by the G.M.T. company stamped on the bottom of each piece. The decorative blue pattern around each piece looks to be done by hand as some of the markings are overlapping or off a bit. The larger canisters are 6 1/2″ Tall x 4 1/4″ Wide-these are marked “Oatmeal” “Sugar” “Farina” “Coffee” one of the lids has a chip as seen in the pics. The 5 spice canisters are 3 1/4″ Tall x 2 1/4″ Wide-these are marked “Mace” “Allspice” “Pepper” “Ginger” “Nutmeg” two of the underside of these are chipped as seen in pics. The “Vinegar” and “Oil” jars are 8″ Tall x 2 3/4 Wide. All pieces have some crazing.
