Binding is tight and pages have no tears. Sara has signed the nameplate and circled some of the words on the last page in pencil. This charming book of learning to read was "adapted and graded" by Harriette Taylor Treadwell, Principal, West Pullman School, Chicago and Maragret Free, Primary Teacher, Forestville School, Chicago, 1898-1906. Any collector of children's books would be happy to have this in their collection!
