This is a beautiful intricate antique hand painted silk fan. This European folding hand fan has three medallions are three different detailed scenes. The hand painted scene in the middle was designed as a see through window with a delicate translucent picture depicting a flute player and dancer.(slight shredding of the silk in this one medallion, see pics) The wood brackets are laminated and also decorated with gold and black paint. This is a stunning work of art that would look great framed. A delicate antique in good condition! The unique box the fan came in is handmade and starting to split on one side. Cord at the bottom is starting to fray.
