Antique Flambeau China hand-painted and artist signed fish plate. Sold through LDB and Company Importers of Flambeau China, Limoges France. Manufactured date 1890-1914. A lovely 11 1/2" hand-painted, artist signed cabinet plate. The scene is of a fish swimming amongst the water plants. The colors are strong and vibrant. Dominant colors are greens, blues and turquoise with a scalloped edge painted gold. The plate has been signed by Marc a Limoges artist.The quality of painting by Flambeau was quite high and many of the famous Limoges artists’ signatures can be found on their wares.
There are 2 back marks and a wire for hanging on the back. very good condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. Ready for display.
